To get actually scaled sense of what's up, here's the log(gdp/commodity) data and also log(ppp) side by side, you can read growth rates off the graph here as the slope of a line fit through the data.
If you look at the major developed countries: GBR, DEU, USA you see there's been an overall trend of basically 0 growth for 25 years. Things dropped from 2000-2010, and then recovered a bit from 2010-2025 but not back to the level of yr 2000.
