Does it have a chance for survival? It depends:
Can it get consistent funding? If you have someone versatile in writing EU grants for _sensible_ things, maybe.
Will it have a strong community above of the left- or right-wing division which will help people learn new skills and will stay around?
That's absolutely doable, but needs to be intentional.
