I believe there are Windows specific improvements, but the main advantage for me was the virtual display. On linux setting up a virtual display took me way too long to figure out and was brittle. My setup is in a rack without display ports so it made my life a little easier. The ui has some extra features I dont use like a new device linking thing and some other buttons I don't know much about. Controller support also works well almost out of the box which is nice.
