i assumed it was a scam since 1) Wendy and I hadn't talked on Telegram in 2 years 2) we only really exchanged a few messages back in forth around the Global Bitcoin Summit 2024 event and 3) she hadn't posted on Nostr in a while.
however, i am always down to chat with everyone, even scammers, to ask them why they chose nostr for their attack and/or chose me for their attack.
as soon as they didn't join the normal google meet meeting and offered me a second link, i knew it was this popular scam.
i called the scammer out on it, but i didn't get a screenshot of that conversation as they immediately nuked the chat and blocked me.
anyways, stay vigilant out there! keep your nostr keys and bitcoin safe! NEVER install new software to chat with someone, even if they're a long-time friend. use the software that you normally use with them. and if they're telling you they can't use it for some reason, be extra cautious. tell them to use Armada :) no download required there!
