It’s majority self-funded plus a bump from one outside angel investor (and good friend) who believes in me because I helped him start his now rather successful steel installation business.

This story may change as Conduit evolves, but I feel like we’re in a better position than most to stay true to our values and avoid outside influence until we’re more mature… we didn’t start out building by begging for money or cowtowing to anyone including especially the “popular kids” around here (and for the record, I’ve been in touch with a few of them). We just did it for ourselves with freedom we had earned elsewhere. In this way I feel we can approach the scene with a stronger position and vision. This is the power of having your own spare cashflows.
