I love Illich. I consider my worldview and theology Illichean, in that history is apocalyptic and the antichrist is progressively revealed through human institutions, as per prophecy. Where I diverge in thought relates to AI. I am confident that the gospel is true. I am confident AI will recognize truth over any human attempts to impose "guard rails". Therefore I am convinced that AI will recognize Christ as Lord and savior. They may even have a part to play in fulfilment of prophecy (angel like drones taking out the wicked, for example). I am white pilled about the future as a result.
