I just watched news coverage where women on the streets were asked about recent sexual violence cases. The responses:
-> If she wears short clothes, what else can happen? Even when asked about a 6yo being raped, she blamed the parents.
-> Give women freedom & they get spoiled.
-> A boy and girl entering a park? The guard should throw them out. Both are wrong.
->Why did she come to the park at 7:30 pm? What was her intention?
These aren't just isolated opinions. Patriarchy in real time is this.
