Interesting theories circulating about the #Ottawa parade cancellation.
The Day Mayor forced the parade organizers to remove any pro-Palestinian statements last year.
Then the main parade group, when confronted en-route by Queers for Palestine agreed to shut the whole thing down, rather than give the Day Mayor and corporate sponsors a successful pinkwashing event.
It makes sense to me for the reality of the conflict to be between the Day Mayor and the community, not intra-community.
