They spent 10 billion dollars to get back 11 billion dollars but the cost of buying hardware, data, renting compute to train claude is omitted from that 10 billion spent.
Couldn't find a number for what they have omitted, but they plan on spending $517 billion to fund new data centers(which will only be a fraction of the total cost because government spending is subsidising their projects)
