Seems to me the first clue that your bed is going to try to kill you is when you have to connect it to wifi.
We don’t do wifi furniture or appliances. Our thermostat is not smart. Our locks are not electronic. Our lights have switches.
Our house kept right on working when AWS took a snooze.
