This post is in dialogue with Carta al pasado by Brock Ansiolitiko, the answer to his own Carta al futuro.
Now it's the son, grown up, writing to the father who hasn't met him yet: he inherits his sleepless nights, admits which pieces of advice he did follow, counts what he lost along the way, and ends up accepting that everything was written beforehand.

In ₿itcoin there is the timelock, a lock made of time: a transaction that exists from today but can't be spent until a certain date or block. A letter to the future is exactly that. So each poem appears as a locked transaction, with who sends it, who it's for, and the condition to open it. The ID on each card is the real hash of the poem.

Letter to the Future conjugates all of time in two lines (you are, you were, our era, you will be), talks about feeling like a giant at 21 million, and refuses to decipher the other. (If you dont get it... -Satoshi.)

An I Love You Costs is a direct tribute to a passage of Carta al pasado: the frame of deceit, painting years, the brush. But it closes with a twist of its own, because an I love you isn't only proven, it costs: as in ₿itcoin, whatever has value demands proof of work. (Everyone gets it at the time they deserve).

The 7 Lives Are Over asks a grandmother where he comes from, just as the son in the song never forgets where he comes from.

And It's Hard to Be a Child repeats "Dueles" (you hurt), also the title of a Brock song, in a catalog of pains where a child writes the life he hasn't lived yet.

Brock's two letters answer each other. These four do too: written today, opened when time understands them.
