I forgot grid-area even accepts named areas. I never use those. If I use grid, I do it for stacking or for child positioning (both of which generally involve a single grid cell) or for moving around things depending on viewport size/ aspect ratio/ other options selected (both the grid-template and the grid-area numbers change based on what is ON 1/ OFF 0 currently, so changing layout means either toggling some control that adds/ removes/ shrinks/ expands items or changing viewport).
