I don't pay a license fee as I dumped it about 5 years ago.
I also switched to a 4g router for my home internet years ago.
The BBC takes in just under £4 billion per year. That could easily be paid for out of general taxation. It's a tiny amount of gov't spending and would allow it to be a proper universal service and secure the BBC's future.
It would also stop Capita from making a fortune in collection fees and harassing folk who don't pay.
