Looked up the lock! It's a Hiplok D1000 Bike Lock. Laughably "designed to withstand an angle grinder, the Hiplok D1000 bike lock offers maximum security for high-risk areas, while remaining lightweight and easy to use." It costs $330+tax, which is absurd considering that it doesn't seem to provide much more security in San Francisco.
