after taking magnesium bisglycinate and taurine a lot for the last 5 months or so, i've come to the conclusion that these two supplements have been the most potent in correcting imbalances in my system that lead to the allergic/digestive problems that have plagued me for much of the last decade.

magnesium especially is notable for being a standard acute treatment for severe bronchoconstriction in asthma. it has vasodilation effects that are critical to maintaining good blood flow and in the last few days, after taking loratadine to lower my histamine bucket levels as a key mechanism for reducing pollen allergy that has overwhelmed me in the last two weeks since the wheat and antifungal sprays they douse the crops with in the land around me, i have had an odd experience of preferring to vape nicotine instead of smoke. in the past, vapes have always failed to be satisfying, and the mechanism behind this is likely that the carbon monoxide in the pyrolysis of tobacco was filling a gap that when i raise my blood magnesium levels sufficiently, stops creating a reinforcing beneficial effect.
